VIII. Resume

VIII. Resume Hello, this will be my last entry in this blog and it's a resume. Enjoy! My Opinion I think the book/film " Dead Poets Society " is very interesting, because it discuss themes which are relevant for all of us like liberty or suicide. The book was written very interesting and I liked the description of the charakters. The film had a nice atmosphere  and Robin Williams played the role of Mr. Keating excellently. The final scene of the film was intense, it was amazing. To put in a nutshell, the book/film was very well written and I liked it . How it was  for me  to write a blog  Writing a blog in the internet is way better than on paper. Here are some arguments: You have much more possibilites in design You can compare your blog with otthers It's faster to type than writing by hand You can easily google things if you don't know them You learn to use a PC practical I think it's a good method to work on a book, I had fun ...

VII. Liberty

VII. Liberty Hey, today I will talk about one of the main themes in Dead Poets Society, Liberty. Enjoy! For the students, Welton Academy is kind of a prison. They have no free will and have to do what the theachers say. The headmaster Mr. Nolan is like a jailor who wants to keep everything like it is. Fortunately, Mr. Keating wants to free them with his unconventional methods.  The students don't really want to be at Welton Academy. Especially Neil is bound to his fathers will, but Mr. Keating helps him to break free so he can follow his dream, to become an actor. All at all liberty is a very big theme in DPS. I hope I explained my thoughts well. See you next time! Phillip

VI. Has Mr. Keating reached what he wanted?

VI. Has Mr. Keating reached what he wanted? Hey Guys, today  I will discuss if Mr. Keating reached what he wanted. Enjoy it! 1. What does he want? Mr. Keating has a very different teaching style than other teachors at Welton Academy . He wants the stundents to think more freely and independent instead of just revise old stuff. Through his lesson the students become more self-confident. 2. Did he reached it? Yes. For example Todd , who was first a shy unsure guy, he developed to an open-minded, confident and independed person. He also encouraged Neil to become an actor and rebell against his father. I think Mr. Keating had a positive impact on the students with his unconventional methods. Have a good day! Phillip

Mr. Keating Pro's :     + Beacause of Mr. Keating Neil wnated to become an actor     + Mr. Keating encouraged Neil to rebell against his father -> his father wanted to put him to a      military academy -> Neil is sad Con's:     - Mr. Keating only wanted Neil to follow his dreams     - Neil probably wanted to become an actor anyway 2. The headmaster Mr. Nolan  Pro's:     + Because of him Neil is hold in the system of Welton      + He is against the free will of Neil Con's:      - He fought it's the best for Neil to follow the system of Welton 3. The father of Neil Pro's:     + He is not intersted in the will of...

IV. Charakterization of Neil

IV. Charakterization of Neil Today I give you a shorart chakterization of one of the main charakters in " Dead Poets Society ", Neil. Neil Perry (in the film played by Robert Sean Leonard) is a student at Walton Academy . He is around 16 years old and has an important role in the book/film. He is a tall boy with brown hair and bright, brown eyes. He is open-mindend, for example when he is one of the first to bring into beeing the Dead Poets Society again.often he is happy but if he can't do what he want he is enraged for example when his father forbids him to play theater. Neil has a very good relationship to Mr. Keating who motivates him to play theatre and rebell against his father. When Neil's father wants to put him in a military academy he is such desperate so he commits suicide (next time we will discuss who is the blame) . I hope now you have an idea of what kind of person Neil is. Phillip

"                         - Stephen Hawking I think this quote from Stephen Hawkings reminds us be relaxed in life. Often people cannot laugh about them self and are offended, I think the world would be a peacefullier place if we all lough together. Stephen Hawking is a very intelligent man and this is my favourite quote from him. This was my today's post, see you next time! Phillip
