VII. Liberty

VII. Liberty

Hey, today I will talk about one of the main themes in Dead Poets Society, Liberty. Enjoy!

For the students, Welton Academy is kind of a prison. They have no free will and have to do what the theachers say. The headmaster Mr. Nolan is like a jailor who wants to keep everything like it is. Fortunately, Mr. Keating wants to free them with his unconventional methods.  The students don't really want to be at Welton Academy. Especially Neil is bound to his fathers will, but Mr. Keating helps him to break free so he can follow his dream, to become an actor. All at all liberty is a very big theme in DPS.

I hope I explained my thoughts well.
See you next time!
Phillip
